FUE technique

FUE technique is hair transplantation performed by taking individual hair follicles from your skin and moving them to another part of your body where the hair is sparse. Fue is an abbreviation for Follicular Unit Extraction. This method was first used in Japan in 1988 with 1 mm punches. This technique took place in the medical literature in 2002.

In the FUE technique, the hair follicles are taken one by one from the donor area, separated from the skin and implanted in the desired area. The hair follicles taken from the donor area are not transplanted to the desired area, but one by one in the same way. For this reason, the implantation of hair follicles causes this method to be performed with longer sessions compared to other methods. Today, this method is done with a micromotor rather than punches.

FUE is usually done in multiple 2-4 hour sessions over several days. You can go home after each procedure. You don't have to take a long break from your daily routine after FUE. But do not immerse the area in water or do strenuous exercise for about a week.
